Lawson Elser has developed a broad expertise in the design of sports and recreation facilities. We have successfully completed numerous sports related projects including: natatorium and swimming pools, football facilities, tennis facility, youth recreation and sports complexes, university recreation facilities, golf clubhouses, YMCA's, and the main grandstand building at Indiana Live horse racing track. Our experience with the unique needs of sports and recreation structures allows us to find innovative and effective solutions to the structural challenges presented by these type buildings.
St Vincent Center – Indiana Pacers Practice Facility
Indianapolis, Indiana
New five story St Vincent Center for sports medicine and Indiana Pacers practice facility. Building is directly across from Bankers Life Fieldhouse and is the primary practice facility for the Indiana Pacers.
Linder Tennis Center – South Grandstand
Mason, Ohio
Five-story structure situated between tennis courts at the tennis facility hosting the Western Southern Open. Building contains kitchen facilities, luxury suites, indoor & outdoor seating and press suites. Project used a variety of structural systems including reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, precast concrete and structural steel.
Natatorium – University of Louisville
Louisville, KY
30,000 sq. ft. natatorium facility for the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY. The project was constructed of structural steel and concrete and includes a 120’ clear span.
Purgatory Golf Course Clubhouse

Lindner Family Tennis Center
Cincinnati, Ohio
New facility including players suites, press facilities, and spectator seating. The building is a four story, reinforced concrete structure with a basement level. The Western and Southern Masters tournament is held at this facility each summer.
